This wiki will help you walk through the process of successfully linking your domain to your server. You don’t require any coding experience for this process. Let’s begin:

Step 1: Go to your domain registrar's page and login to the dashboard.

Step 2: Click on your domain and go to "Manage" or "DNS" section.

Step 3: Now create a new DNS with the following config:

Record type A
Host server This will set the host such as "server.domain.xyz"
Target numeric ip Put the numeric server ip without port
TTL 1/2 hour

Step 4: If you have a dedicated ip, then you are done. You can go back and check for the ip to update. However if you don't have a dedicated ip, continue to do that steps below.

Step 5: Make a new DNS record with the following config:

Record type SRV
Name mc This will set the host such as "mc.domain.xyz"
Target server.domain.xyz The server ip from previous DNS record
Protocol _tcp
Service _minecraft
Priority 0
Weight 0
Port port The port of your server.
TTL 1/2 hours

Step 6:
All set!! The domain will link up now. This may take up to 48 hours to finish but usually takes 30 minutes.
